When I moved to Columbia, MO in 1994 I began studying massage therapy on my own and practiced for a couple of years before a license was required. In 1997, when my son was born, I went back to school to complete my Biology degree. In 2000, I moved away and taught Anatomy/Physiology, Bio/Chem, and Physical Sciences in the Montgomery Co R-II Highschool. In 2003 I moved back to Columbia and began working at Kilgore's Medical Pharmacy working as a supervisor for their Long Term Care Department. I never lost interest in massage therapy over the years and decided I needed to go ahead and complete the program so that I may become an LMT and practice massage again. So, in 2011 I made the leap and graduated from The Massage Therapy Institute of MO in August. In March, 2012, I opened up business inside of Shear Madness Hair Salon in the Cherry Hill Village. I really enjoy this line of work and hope to transfer all of my passion into the lives of the people I touch.
